Jewelry & High-Security Commercial

Protection built for high-value inventory

Elite is a specialist in TL-rated and high-security safes for jewelers, watch and precious-metal dealers, and any business where inventory value, insurance and burglary ratings drive the decision.

High-security and TL-rated safes, specified to your inventory, your insurer's requirements and the way your business actually works.

High-value retail is a different problem from a home safe. Insurers set requirements, burglary ratings matter, and the wrong choice is expensive twice. We specialise in getting it right the first time.

Understanding burglary ratings

TL-rated and high-security safes

TL means tool resistant, and the number is minutes. Each rating records how long that safe held against a UL technician with hand and power tools. Here is how the tiers compare.

TL-15

Tool-resistant protection for a starting tier of high-value inventory.

  • Tool-resistant rated
  • Entry high-security tier
  • Insurer recognised

TL-30

A step up in tool-resistant protection for larger inventories.

  • Extended tool resistance
  • Common jeweler choice
  • Sized to your stock

TL-30x6

Rated on all six sides for demanding, high-value environments.

  • Six-sided protection
  • Higher insurer tiers
  • Serious inventory value

TRTL & higher

Torch and tool resistant protection for the highest-value needs.

  • Torch and tool resistant
  • Top-tier protection
  • Often paired with a vault

Security considerations

More than a rating on a door

The rating is the start. Insurance requirements, lock options, sizing and placement, and a proper anchored installation are what actually protect the inventory. We handle delivery, rigging, anchoring, installation and relocation.

We help you meet the rating your insurer expects.

Lock & access options

Dial, electronic, time-delay and dual control where it fits.

Delivery, rigging & anchoring

Heavy safes moved, placed and anchored correctly.

When a safe is not enough

For the highest-value inventory, a safe is sometimes only the starting point. When you need more capacity or a higher level of protection, we design and build custom vaults and vault rooms, engineered and installed end to end.

FAQ

High-security questions

What's the difference between TL-15 and TL-30?
Both are UL burglary ratings, and the number is time. TL means tool resistant. The rating records how long the safe's door held against a UL technician attacking it with common hand and power tools, measured in net working time, meaning time actually spent attacking. A TL-15 held for 15 minutes. A TL-30 held for 30. In practice a TL-30 is also heavier and thicker throughout, and it is the tier most insurers expect once inventory value climbs. Both rate the door only.
What is the difference between TL-30 and TL-30x6?
TL-30 rates the door. TL-30x6 applies the same 30-minute attack to all six sides: the door, the top, the bottom and all four walls. A TL-30 assumes an attacker goes at the front. The x6 assumes they will go at whatever side is easiest, including tipping the safe to reach the bottom. Carriers writing larger schedules commonly step up to x6 above a stated limit. Above that sits TRTL, which adds an oxy-acetylene torch to the tool set.
What safe does a jewelry store actually need?
Your insurance policy decides it, not your square footage. Carriers schedule jewelers' block coverage against a rating and a limit: how much value you may leave in the safe overnight, and what the safe must be rated to hold it. The usual ladder runs TL-15 for a starting inventory, TL-30 as the working standard for most stores, TL-30x6 once the limit rises, and TRTL or a vault at the top. Bring us your schedule page and we will tell you what it is asking for, then specify against it, so you are not paying for a rating you do not need or finding out after a loss that you were under-rated.
Can you handle delivery and anchoring of a heavy safe?
Yes. Rigging, difficult access, anchoring and relocation of high-security safes are part of what we do.
What if a safe is not enough?
For the highest-value environments we design and build custom vaults. It is a natural upgrade path from a high-security safe.
